LaCie USB Hard Drives

external hard drivesAre you running out of room on your laptop or desktop computer? If so, you need an external hard drive. LaCie has just announced their newest USB 3.0 drives, the Minimus and the Rikki. Both of these external hard drives are compact and extremely portable.

The Rikki transfers data at the excellent rate of 5GB of data per second and is the smaller of the hard drives. Although the Minimus is larger than the Rikki, it provides you with even more storage. Both of the devices' cases are made of brushed aluminum. This not only gives the hard drives a sleek look but also keeps them well protected. Both the Minimus and the Rikki come complete with LaCie’s Software Suite that allows you to easily back up your data on Windows and Macintosh computers.

The Rikki can be purchased with either 500GB or 1TB of space with a starting price of $99.99. The Minimus can be found with either 1TB or 2TB of capacity and starts at $129.99. Both of these external hard drives are available now.

I love brushed aluminium!!!!

But for $100 you could get almost an entire year of service with an online backup service. Hummm.
