The Toshiba Satellite A305 is the and improved model A205. The A305 has improved the look and feel of the notebook. This laptop comes with an impressive 3GB of RAM and 2 200GB Hard disk drives, primary running at 5400RPM and secondary at 4200RPM. The new model has also gave a big boost in the processor, this time going with the Intel Core 2 Duo Processor T8100 (2.10GHz, 3MB L2, 800MHz FSB)
The first thing you will notice about this laptop is the laptop's new glossy look. Everything on this laptop has been covered in the new glossy look, even the keyboard. The new gloss finish looks great though and i found nothing to complain about it.
The screen quality above average, the colors show vibrantly and the backlight comes with minimal bleed.
The Toshiba Satellite A305 is a great notebook scoring great in every catagory and with the reasonable price of around $1100-$1200 makes this a great buy.

I just bought this piece. Though I like the speed, look and the enormous harddisk, I hate the "feel". The keypad and the arm resting area get so hot after a while. I wonder how Toshibha got this product out to the market. Hope there is some bios fix or some software fix that can improve the thermal problem.
I am impressed by the new glossy look. The screen is quiet satisfying. Overall this laptop has good features and is quiet affordable. I also like Toshiba Satellite M505-S4940.This laptop has a 2.0GHz Pentium Dual Core T4200 processer with 4 GB DDR2 RAM. The design is very pleasing. You will find a special Gold Stripe design on its glossy exterior body. You will definitely appreciate the 320 GB hard disk and 4 GB memory,you can store as many pictures, songs, videos and files in the laptop as you want. The keyboard is average and the battery last only around 3 hours.
